BLUE VALLEY DISHING MACHINES
A Blue Valley Head Dishing Machine is used to place the Dish Radius into a flat circle or a flat oval. Depending on the size of the Dishing Machine, if the flat blank is very thick, then one piece is dished at a time; or, for thinner blanks, two or more blanks are dished at a time.
A Blue Valley Dishing Machine holds the blank(s) with a Hoist System. For small diameter blanks one operator can do the dishing, otherwise most blanks are dished by two operators. A Blue Valley Disher operates in an Auto Mode. The machine operators provide the rotation of the blank(s) during the Auto Cycle - the Hydraulic Cylinder pushes the Upper Tooling into the blank(s) and provides a controlled amount of deformation. As the Hydraulic Cylinder retracts the Upper Tooling upward away from the blank(s) the operators turn the blank(s) a certain distance, then the Auto Cycle repeats itself. The Auto Cycle is controlled by a PLC. The Auto Cycle occurs about 28 - 30 times per minute.
For round work a sequence of pressing is done from a reference line that emanates from the center of the blank(s) to the edge. A sequence consists of a pressing from this line as a starting point, and then 360 degrees around. This sequence is repeated at various increments from the edge to the center, and from the center to the edge.
The 16 Series of Dishers utilize a "high/low" style of hydraulic circuit for the operation of the Auto Cycle.
The 19 and 25 Series of Dishers utilize a "jack-ram" style of hydraulic circuit for the operation of the Auto Cycle.
These Dishing Machines have Automatic Cooling/Filtration Circuits. These Dishing Machines have a 24VDC secondary control circuit. The 19 and 25 Series Dishers are equipped with a Siemens HMI.
A complete Set of Upper Radius Dies is included with each Dishing Machine.
These Dishing Machines are very heavy duty. Likewise, these Dishing Machines are very heavy. We offer these Dishing Machines as "kit systems". In the case of a Dishing Machine Kit System we supply to you Drawings, Photographs, and Instructions for you to fabricate the frame of the Disher, as well as Assembly Instructions for the installation of the Electrics, Hydraulics, and Tooling that we supply to you. The shipment of a Dishing Machine Kit System costs much less than the shipment of a complete machine.
We can furnish a Blue Valley Dishing Machine with an Automatic Manipulator for holding the blank(s). The movement of the blank(s) is synchronized with the movement of the Hydraulic Cylinder.
Round blanks are quickly provided to the Disher by a Blue Valley Circle Shear. Then dished circular blanks can be quickly and accurately flanged on a Blue Valley Head Flanger. Also, dished ovals can be sheared and then flanged on a Blue Valley Model 87 Elliptical Head Machine.
