25-Series Dishing Machines
|
Head Dishing Machines of the 25-Series are used for the dishing of round and oval blanks. The maximum rating of a 25-Series Disher is 1" / 25 mm carbon steel, either as a single blank, or as a cumulative thickness of two or more blanks.
The 25-Series Dishing Machines are manufactured in an "H" configuration - the machine has two Horizontal Beam Assemblies and two Vertical Beam Assemblies. The distance between the Vertical Assemblies dictates the maximum diameter that blanks can be dished on the machine. The 25-Series of Dishing Machines includes the following:
The 25-Series Dishing Machines utilize a "jack ram" style of hydraulic circuit. Two axial piston Hydraulic Pumps are used to power a duplex, heavy-duty 16" bore Hydraulic Cylinder, which in turn is integrally connected to a 8" bore Pilot Cylinder. A 100 HP Electric Motor is used to drive the two Hydraulic Pumps.
The Hydraulic Power Unit for the 25-Series Dishing Machines has a 400 gallon / 1500 liter reservoir. The Hydraulic Power Unit includes an automatic cooling/filtration circuit. An adequately sized Cooler is used to keep the hydraulic oil from becoming too hot. The hydraulic circuit includes both Pressure and Return Line Filters. Couple a 25-Series Dishing Machine with a Model 4 or larger Head Flanging Machine, and you will be able to quickly and rather easily produce round, flanged, and dished heads (first dish the circular blank, then flange the dished blank). Add a Circle Shear to this package and you are able to completely fabricate tank heads from flat square blanks. A 25-Series Dishing Machine can be used to dish oval blanks that are fed to a Model 87 Elliptical Head Machine for accurate production of dished elliptical (oval) tank heads - such that are used for tanker trailers. |
